Sephora Huge Haul & Reviews

Hey Beauties!!

I was cleaning up my photos on my phone and I found a picture of items I purchased from Sephora but I never did a post on them. Since then I've purchased a few more things so I decided to make a huge haul post.

I had time to use most of the products so I will include some reviews on most of them.

So as I said I've purchased these items a few months ago and I just saw that I didn't do a post on them.

Too Faced - Better Than False Lashes Extreme! C$46.00
I'm not a false lashes kinda girl but I do love the look of false lashes and with this mascara I can achieve that. I did a whole review back in May click here to read it.

Urban Decay- Vice Lipstick C$21.00 each (Naked and Native)

Ciaté London- Mini Paint Pot Nail Polish and Effects C$10.00- $10.50
Razzmatazz dense golden glitter
Antique Brooch dense rose gold glitter with a hind of pink
Amazing Gracie ballet slipper pink

Tart Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush C$35.00 (Exposed nude)

DOLCE&GABBANA- Desire by Dolce&Gabbana C$98.00

I also received a bag full of perfume samples, which is one of my favorite ways of trying out higher end brand perfumes for free. At the time of this purchase it was a promo which Sephora always has so lookout for the next one. I think the best way to stay on top of their promos is by signing up and you can receive all their deals and promos when you purchase something online. Unfortunately the promos they usually give out are for online purchases so that is the only way you could receive some freebies.

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer in NUDE
Travel size 1.0z $26.00
Full size C$56.00

I was at the checkout line at Sephora and I saw the travel size Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer and bought it to try. I bought it in Nude because that’s all they had in the travel size packaging. I was happy it matched my skin tone and it applied flawlessly. I basically use this instead of a BB Cream or Foundation when I’m just running for errands or when I’m in a rush and only have like 10 min to get ready. I find for me it give the perfect coverage that I want and looks very natural.

Urban Decay- Vice Lipstick C$21.00 (Backtalk)

Too Faced Melted Liquid Lipstick C$25.00 (Melted Chihuahua "melted mauve")
I got my makeup done by a girl that worked at Sephora and she used this color on me and I absolutely loved it. I own two other shades from this line but I really love mauve tones and this is the perfect mauve. It’s very moisturizing and not drying at all but I do add a gloss on top because I prefer a glossy finish but applied alone is gorgeous as well.

Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil Body Butter Honeysuckle Vanilla
Travel Size 2oz C$15.00
Standard size 8oz C$43.00

I had purchased the travel size of this that I had to buy the full size because its soo moisturizing and smells soo good. It’s perfect for those dry patches and it feels soo luxurious. It’s mixed with avocado oil, shea butter and white tea extract to nourish your skin with essential nutrients.

MAISON MARGIELA 'REPLICA' Beach Walk Rollerball C$30.00
(Beach Walk combines fresh and radiant notes of bergamot, coconut milk, lemon, pink pepper, and musk to evoke a familiar but forgotten moment—a walk along a sandy beach.) I actually bought this because Allie Sevdalis on Youtube says this is one of her favorite perfumes and it sounded like a scent I would enjoy.

SMASHBOX Iconic Photo Finish Foundation Primer C$20.00
I wanted to try this for a while and when I saw it at the checkout line with the other goodies there I decided to give it a try. I yet to try it but I will open it soon and add it to my next products review blog post.

Complimentary Welcome Kit
I reached the VIB Rouge level and this was my Complimentary Welcome Kit which included my card and a NARS travel size blush in Goulue. It’s a pretty pinky mauve with a hint of sparkle it’s really pretty. It’s actually my first NARS blush and I’m super happy I got a color that suits me.

I hope you all enjoyed this post and until next time.

Keep smiling

Sephora Haul ;)

Hey Beauties,

I recently went to Sephora and picked a few things I've been wanting try. I still haven't tested them all out yet so I will be doing a review later on so look out for that post.

I wanted to try the Benefit tanning lotion but as the beauty junkie I am I ended up adding other products to my bag, I think I spent half an hour there looking at all the products seeing what's new and what's on sale. I don't know about you ladies but I could spend all day in there if I could lol

So as I said I went into Sephora to buy the Benefit Hoola Tanning Lotion as well as some other products that have been on my "Love list". I wanted to try these two products for my hair but unfortunately they were only available online. As the beauty junkie I am I had to add a few more items to my bag but they were on my list to buy in the future.

I've added pictures of all the items I bought except for the ones I bought online because I haven't received them yet.

Benefit Cosmetics: Hoola Zero Tanlines Body Bronzer

This is the main reason why I went to Sephora because I heard soo many good reviews about it and I love there Hoola Bronzer. The packaging is what caught my attention, its something that I wanted displayed on my vanity.
I know I'm probably late to try it but I've been using two self-tanners which I've been loving but I wanted to try an instant bronzer. I've been loving the "Loving Tan" which is best-seller but it takes a while for it to work. These products are obviously different because one is a self-tanner and and the other is a instant bronzer but both give a glowing effect. From what I read if you love the Hoola bronzer you will definitely love this one.

I will definitely have to try and do a review on it as well a comparison to my other two self-tanners.

Tarte: Drink of H20 Hydrating Boost

I got a deluxe sample of the Tarte kit which this was included. I found it worked so well with my skin I didn't breakout or had any bad reaction to it. I tend to have combination skin but more dry in the winter so this definitely will help. It's very lightweight and feels so nice on the skin, it has like a cooling sensation. I use it as a primer right before I apply my makeup and I find it makes my foundation go on more smoother. I also like that I don't get any flaky patches around my nose area.
I was debating if to buy it because it was C$47, I know there's much cheaper alternatives but I was there, it worked well on my skin and it looked cute just sitting on the shelf so I had to buy it.

Urban Decay Lipner in Rush

This has been on my "Love List" for a long time but I was hesitating because of the price but I finally bought it. I don't own many liners because I'm not a huge liner fan I'm just getting into it now. All my liners are from the drugstore so this is my first brand lip liner.

I have two Urban Decay lipsticks "Naked" and "Native" which will pair very well. The liner is in "Rush" it's a pink/mauve and its C$24. I also purchased "Native" a pale pink but that was part of my online order. I tested it on my hand and just like their eye liners they glide soo smoothly, you don't even have to put much pressure.

Caudalie Face Kit (Beauty Insider 500 Gift)

I had 1,600 points so I decided to use them finally they never have any good gifts so I keep accumulating my points. I wanted something for 250 but they ran out of some the items so I decided to get this one for 500 points. The kit included face products and right now I'm testing out different face products so it was perfect.

The kit includes 4 items and which order to do them if you want a beauty routine.
Step 1 Detox Mask
Step 2 Cleansing
Step 3 Treat
Step 4 Moisturize

Detox Mask

Apply a thin layer on dry skin and leave on for 10 min and then rinse.

Miscellar Cleansing Water

Use to remove makeup and cleanse face and you don't need to rinse.

Beauty Elixir

A spray that you can use on your face, neck and body. They suggest to use before applying your makeup and in between  your foundation and powder to set perfectly.

Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet

Apply this morning and night on a clean cleansed face.

Other Products

I did some re-purchases that I needed such as Makeup Forever Foundation (Y255) and Ciate mini nail polish in "Amazing Gracie".

Online Order

I wanted a shampoo for dry damaged hair but also to have natural ingredients. I found one from "Earth's Nectar" unfortunately the only way I could purchase it was online. It's made with Mint Leaves and Tea Tree which is great for dry hair and it was organic. I can't wait to receive it to try it out and do a review on it.

I also purchased the "Urban Decay Lip liner" in Native because I wanted to pair it with the lipstick I have. The last thing I purchased was the "Ciate" nail polish from the Olivia Palermo in Sundays. I've been wanting this color for a long time because it's such a pretty pale pink that you can wear everyday.

When I get my order in the mail I will do an update as well as a review on most of the products and let you guys know if they are worth buying or not.

Until next time
Kisses

Lip Favorites

Hey Beauties,

Happy Weekend! Hope everyone is enjoyed their week, it's finally the weekend :) Ever since the season has changed and its become hot I haven't been in the mood to do a full face of makeup. Instead of using a heavy foundation I've switched it up and been using BB Creams. I find its much lighter on the face and my face can still breathe. To finish my simple look I add a bit of bronzer, eyeliner, mascara and a bit of lipstick and occasionally blush.

When it comes to lips I like the natural look and I've fell in love with the Annabelle Lipliner in Buff. I was never the type to use lip liners but I was in the mood of trying new products and I decided to pick this up. I've tried her eyeliners and I really enjoy them, they glide on soo smoothly and they are really pigmented.

The colors I go for are more nude/pink and this is the perfect combination but has more of brown undertones. Just like the eyeliners it glides on your lips perfectly. I'm someone with small lips and this gives the illusion of fuller and plumped lips which is what I need. Even though its not waterproof it does last all day you may have to re-touch it once but I never had to.

I like to not only line my lips with it but fill in my lips as well it helps give my lips some color. Sometimes I just wear the lip liner as is and don't add anything on top and other times I use either a lipstick or lip gloss. I have 7 different combinations that I like to switch up from time to time which I will list below as well give you some options if you decide to try this liner. I have a few drugstore products as well as brand name ones.

Lipglosses

  1. Gerard Cosmetics Lipgloss- Shimmer of Hope
  2. NYX Butter Gloss- Tiramisu
  3. Too Face Melted Lipstick- Melted Sugar
  1. Annabelle Lipliner in Buff
  2. Gerard Cosmetic Lipglosss- Shimmer of Hope
  3. NYX Butter Gloss- Tiramisu
  4. Too Face Melted Lipstick- Melted Sugar
Lipsticks
  1. Maybelline Color Sensational The Buffs (920 Nude Lust)
  2. MAC-Snob
  3. Gerard Cosmetics Lipstick- Buttercup
  4. Urban Decay Vice Lipstick- Nude (Satin Finish, creamy, nude-pink)
  1. Annabelle Lipliner in Buff
  2. Maybelline Color Sensational The Buffs (920 Nude Lust)
  3. MAC- Snob
  4. Gerard Cosmetics Lipstick- Buttercup
  5. Urban Decay Vice Lipstick- Nude (Satin Finish. Creamy, nude-pink)

Review Products

Hey Beauties,

Welcome back to another Review Post, in this one I really enjoyed 2 out of the 3 products. I give you my honest opinion on every single product. Obviously everyone has their own opinions and preferences but here are mine. Enjoy! :)

Kiesque LIQUID PALISADE Easy-Peel Polish Barrier (17$)

This has to be the best product that has ever been invented, especially if your a nail lover like me and paint your nails constantly. This little liquid bottle has changed my life lol Your probably sitting there wondering what is it, tell us already. This little product helps with not getting polish onto your cuticles or skin.

I was at Sephora (my second home) and I was in line to pay, I was really happy because I didn't go overboard I just bought what i came for. But Sephora likes to add to your budget by adding small products around the waiting line that drag you in to add to your bag. But for once this item was actually useful and I should of bought another because it is small.

I've never heard about this brand I just really like the packaging and what it does and for $17 I was like why not sounds cool. It gives you step by step instructions and its super easy to follow and apply. I tried it on my left hand and I was amazed, then I tried it on my right hand which is the hand that always gets a bit messy but this time no mess at all.

I went online to purchase another bottle and it was sold out I'm guessing its a good-seller. They also sell one for the perfect French Manicure which sounds cool as well. The only few things I have to complain is that it only comes in one size 0.08oz which is pretty small. Also I find the liquid gets a bit tacky in the bottle so you have to clean it or it won't close well. But other than that I really recommend you trying it especially if you love doing your own nails or don't want to spend soo much money to do them professionally.

Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil Body Butter (Honeysuckle Vanilla, Tropical orchid) (15$ each)

I was in the Josie Maran isle because I really love her products. I was searching for a hand cream for dry hands because with this new job I got my hands tend to get all dry and nasty looking. I saw these cute tubs of cream in all sorts of scents which read "Whipped Argan Oil Body Butter". Anything with Argan oil I absolutely love and my skin loves it also. They had the full size tubs which were C$43 for 8oz and C15$ for Travel size 2oz. I wanted to try 2 different ones so I went with the Travel size ones which cost me the same amount as a full tub. I decided to get Honeysuckle Vanilla and Tropical orchid because I really love those scents. My hands feel soo nourish and moisturized. The cream is thick so a bit goes a long way I find.

Clinique Face and Eyes Wipes (17$)

I was in need of some good makeup wipes and usually when I purchase a product I do some research ahead of time, but apparently this time I didn't. I was at Sephora and since I was in need of wipes I decided to grab the ones that caught my eyes. I figured Clinique is a good brand well known and I've tried their products before and loved them.

I started using them and I felt they aren't as wet as other wipes are. I found the wipes were too dry. I made sure to close the packaging well after I used it. I find 1 wipe isn't enough to take away all my makeup I need at least 2 especially if I wear heavy eye makeup. That's the biggest complaint I would say I have with this product. I really like the scent its not too strong which I really like and also it doesn't leave the skin oily. For 50 wipes its C$17 which would be good if the towelettes had more wetness to them. I think I may stick to my drugstore brand face wipes, I never really had an issue with those. The only reason I bought them is because they were right in front of me and I needed some and Clinique is a good brand. I'm going to finish this package and then purchase one of my drugstore ones.

Products Review! Benefit "Puff off", Too Faced Mascara and Living Proof Mask

Hey Beauties,

It's been a long time but I'm back finally and I have a few more posts in mind to write about, hopefully I stick to the plan and write them.

So let's get onto the blog.

As you can see from the title I'll be reviewing 3 beauty products. In the past I reviewed more than 3 items, and I found it got too much to write about that sometimes the post just became a draft. So I decided 3 products is the right amount to review.

First item is the Benefit "Puff off!"I've been testing this product on and off since November 2015. I found it helped a bit because I stopped using it for a few weeks and I saw the difference. What caught my eye about the product is the packaging its soo cute as well as the applicator. I really enjoy the cooling sensation when you apply it under your eyes. Its like back in the day when we used frozen spoons to d-puff our eyes. The only difference now is it lasts more than a few hours and you don't look strange walking around with frozen spoons on your eyes.

The way I apply it is I start with my face primer it could either be a spray or liquid whatever I'm feeling that day. Then I add the "Puff off!" and leave it as is for 5 min before dabbing it into my skin. Then I add my concealer and foundation and the rest of my makeup and I end it with a finishing spray to set everything in.

The only complaint I have is I had a hard time opening it. I don't know if its just me but I had to really pull hard on the cap to open it. And if I squeezed too much while trying to open it some of the product would come out.

I bought mine at Sephora it was a bit pricey C$38 for 0.34 oz. Like I said I bought mine back in November and I still have tons of product left. But that's also the fact I don't use it everyday maybe if I did I would be on my second tube not sure.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm not great at applying false lashes but I really love the effects they give your eyes big and  bold I wanted a mascara that would give me the same effect. I came across the Too Faced "Better than False Lashes Extreme!" after hearing tons of mixed reviews on it I wanted to try it for myself. So after purchasing it I gave it a shot. Now if you've never tried lash primer before you may get a little worried because our eyelashes are white. The mascara comes with a primer and the actual mascara. The primer is small white fibers that attach to your lashes and once you apply them you look like you have some kind of disease lol. Don't get scared it gets covered by mascara. It's very simple the box tells you step by step and must I say the packaging is cute but sexy at the same time.

My first impression I would have to say was pretty good I saw results after one coat of mascara. You're supposed to add some mascara so the fibers can attach to them, then apply the fibers and then add more mascara. They suggest you do one eye at a time so the mascara doesn't dry up while you do the other eye.

The final results my eyelashes were big and bold, I could tell a big difference. They looked much fuller and longer which is what I was heading for.

What I didn't like is the removing process, I lost some lashes while I was taking off the mascara. I think it's because there's soo many layers it's harder to remove the product and I find I had to put a bit more pressure to remove everything which caused me to lose some of my precious lashes. But wearing lashes you also can lose a few of your original ones so it's up to you.

I'm going to continue to use this mascara but only for special events I find it's too much for my lashes to handle everyday. I bought mine at Sephora it was $46, YES! that is crazy amount for mascara, but I'm a crazy girl who loves makeup lol.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The last product which I'm still testing out as well as other products from "Living Proof" but those products will be reviewed in another blog post.

The last product is for the hair and this is something I'm still debating on. I've been searching for a hair mask for my dry and itchy scalp. I did a bit of research and found "Living Proof." After reading all this great stuff about the "Restore Mask Treatment" I had to try it myself. It says its suppose to bring back your virgin hair from all the damage and dryness its been through. Not only will your hair be restored but it will be protected from further damage.

I purchased the small tub which is 1 oz and it cost me C$16. I wanted to try it a few times before actually paying full amount for the big tub. I found for the small tube I was able to use it for 3-4 times depending how long your hair is. It says to use it from roots to ends and leave in for 5 min before rinsing.

I found my hair soft and shiny after the first time trying it. I really like the smell it's not too strong. I decided to use it once a week but you can use it up to twice a week depending how dry your scalp is. After finishing the small tub I went with 2 weeks without using it and I saw a difference and I knew I had to purchase the big tub. I bought mine at Sephora and yes it is pricey but it did wonders to my hair so that's all that counts. The 8 oz cost C$55 and its a pretty big tub I think I can have about 2-3 months of product depending how much I use.

I really enjoyed the hair mask that I decided to try and test out other hair products from "Living Proof. They will be featured in an upcoming blog post including some face products that I'm testing out as well.

Till then take care <3
