July Ipsy Bag 2014 "Sensationally Sunkissed"

This month's picks were interesting and I had fun trying them out. I will list all the products below with some description of each and my review for each.

Eyesahdow 2.0 by BareMinerals
-I love the colors that were given to me I find they go well with my skin tone and eye color.

BBCream SPF 25 in Light by dermae
-I find because it only comes in Light that a lot of people would have trouble trying out this product. For me it blended very well with my skin tone, I only used it once because I still enjoy using my Maybelline BB Creams.

Tinted Lip Balm in Unique Pink by Pixi Beauty
-I really like this lip balm it has a minty flavor to it which I really like. The packaging is really cute I love Pixi's packaging. From the tube it doesn't look like it will give you any color but when applied to the lips you get a hint of color with a shiny effect which I really like. I find its a perfect lip balm for on the go, it gives you a bit of color and hydrates your lips as well.

Sunkissed Bronzer by POP Beauty
-I didn't think I would like this Bronzer but after playing around with it a bit I came to love it. It's a bit dark so a little goes a long way I find for my skin tone. It has small specs of glitter which is beautiful when the light shines on you. I definitely recommend this product to anyone who's looking for a good cheap bronzer.

Daily Moisturizer SPF 30 by Pur-lisse
-I'm someone who loves cute packaging and when a product looks plain and boring I'm not interested in trying it.

August  Ipsy Bag 2014 "Beauty Schooled"

I wasn't crazy about a lot of the items this month, I enjoyed 2 out of 5 of the products.

Lip Conditioner by Jersey Shore Sun
-When it comes to lip balm I always go for something more natural and organic which this lip balm is known for. It has a hint of citrus smell which I love and is super soft on the lips perfect for those chapped lips.

Mongongo oil is the main ingredient in this moisturizing lip balm. The oil is made from a fruit which hydrates, regenerates and protects from UV.

Mascara in Perversion by Urban Decay
-I heard lots of good reviews on this mascara and I couldn't wait to try it when I saw it in my bag. I think it was the only thing I was looking forward to receiving this month. Perversion gives your lashes a more bolder and bigger look. The ultra black color gives you that sexy look with just one stroke.

Blush in Fresh & Elegant by Coastal Scents (sample)
-I wasn't crazy about the packaging, even thought it was a sample it could of been a bit nicer. I wasn't crazy about the colors and I don't wear blush often so I didn't really care for this product.

Eye Pencil by Lord & Berry
-I've tried a lot of black eyeliners and I wasn't crazy about this one. I prefer more glide on pencils or liquid, but when applying this one I had add some pressure.

Face Lotion by StriVectin (anti aging)
-This product I was really disappointed because it was for anti-aging skin and I personally don't need it right now. I actually passed it on to my mom who will appreciate it and use it more than I will.

September Ipsy Bag 2014 "Street Style"

Shadow Crease brush by Crown Brush

Lipstick in Cabernet by Hikari

Waterproof Eye pencil in Fringe by Pacifica

Deep Conditioning Mask by Briogeo
-I really loved this product, I would definitely buy the full size once I'm done with this one.

Face lotion 3-in-1 by LeeAnni Eco
-I didn't try this a lot maybe just once so I can't really review it that much but I saw a slight difference under my eyes. Its a Toner, Serum and Moisturizer all in one

Summer Favorites 2014

Hey Beauties,

This post is long overdue, it's been sitting as a draft for a month now. :/ I couldn't figure out what else to add so I decided to just post it anyways.

As summer has ended and were in fall I decided to do a whole post on all my favorite items of the past summer. I haven't done a favorites post since April so I thought it was good to do a whole "Summer Favorites". I will include some fashion pieces, jewelry, makeup, food etc.

I hope you enjoy this post and if you have any suggestions please feel free to add them in the comment section or email me :)

Smells amazing and does wonders for my hair when it's a bit oily.

OGX Moroccan Argan Oil
This is an old favorite which I mentioned in my February Faves.

Target Haul

Hey Beauties,

This is going to be a short haul of just a few items I picked up on my recent trip to the US from Target and 2 things from Claire's.

Website: http://ptiganos.wix.com/beauty-fashion
Pinterest: http://pinterest.com/ptiganos/boards/

Rhinestone Flower Contact Lens Case from Claire's
EOS Pomegranate Raspberry Shave Cream
Price $2.79 US
I've used it twice since I bought it and I've never had softer legs until I used this product. I love the lip balms and this new shave cream is my new BFF lol. As it says on the bottle it can be used wet or dry and I've tried both ways and I find I get a better result when its wet.. I'm also impressed that it lasts for about a week maybe less which I love.

Organix Thick & Full Shampoo
Price: $5.79 US

Biore Deep Charcoal Cleanser
Price: $6.49 US

Sally Hansen Nail Art Tool Kit & Studs
Price: $5.99 US each
Maybelline Mascara

Stay Matte Foundation in Ivory
Price: Review coming
E.L.F Eyebrow Gel
Price: $1 US

Clean and Clear Face wipes
Maybelline Face Wipes

Jergens Natural Glow Cream
Travel Size
Price: $ US
I couldn't wait to try this so I picked up a travel size Natural Glow Cream to test it out for a few weeks. I applied it on my arms and my neck area and it gave me a natural glow after a few hours. Most tanning lotions have a horrible scent but this one just smells like a good smelling cream. It's soo soft and moisturizing and long lasting.

Makeup Bag from Target
Price: $9.99 US
When I'm looking for a new makeup bag I always go to Target because they have the most cutest and affordable bags. I absolutely love this one because it had two sections which is perfect when I want to separate my makeup. The first thing that caught my eye was the beautiful color and pattern I absolutely love it. I also love the detail zipper chain and the lining inside. You wouldn't think something soo beautiful could cost only $10 at Target.

Makeup Products Review

Products I'll be Reviewing:
  • Biore Makeup Wipes
  • St.Tropez Gradual Face Tan
  • Pro FX Top, base coat and strengthener
  • Glamoflauge concealer
  • Urban Decay Naked basic palette

Biore Makeup Wipes:

I've had these wipes now for about 6 months but just recently I started using them because I ran out of my Maybelline ones which are my favorite. I bought a few makeup wipes and this was my last brand I was going to try out.

My first impression once I opened it was the smell I really liked it. I can't really describe it but it's not an over powering scent its very soothing. Once I used it I felt like the towelette was a bit dry I don't know maybe that could be because I've had it for a few months now but I just felt I couldn't take out all my makeup. What I do like about it that it takes off waterproof mascara and eyeliner which I do like.

Overall I think its a good product but I still enjoy my Maybelline makeup wipes. I haven't found wipes that could beat them but maybe I'll give the Biore wipes another shot and do another review if they turn out good.

St.Tropez Gradual Face Tan:

I actually received a sample size bottle in my June Ipsy bag and I was happy I did because I have been really wanting to try it but wasn't sure if it would be good. That's why I love Ipsy you can try out sample size products before actually buying the full size.

My first impression was it didn't smell great which I find most self tanners have in common. Another thing is I didn't really find a big difference in color, maybe I have to use it more than twice but I didn't find any changes. I'm not going to give up on this product because it has great reviews so I will give it another shot.

Pro FX Top, Base Coat and Strengthener:

If your like me you probably like to change your nail color once or maybe twice a week depending on your mood or what not.

For the longest time I've been using "Seche Vite" as a top coat and "Seche Base" for bottom. Don't get me wrong these products are amazing and are really good, but are kind of pricey for such a little bottle. I was in the search for a good top/base coat and on a trip to Sally's I found the Pro FX product. It had a 3 in 1 protector which I was happy about and it was a pretty big bottle for the same price as a bottle of Seche Vite.

Glamoflauge Concealer:

I've had this product for over a year now and I'm not nearly done with it. All I could say is a little goes a long way and I mean it, you don't need much. The consistency is a bit thick and it matches my skin tone very well.

The reason I bought this was I was watching a video from "PinkSparkles" (she's a beauty guru on Youtube) and she mentioned it. She spoke very highly of it and I was in the search of a good concealer at the time so I gave it a go.

For a drugstore product I think it works really well, I haven't tried any high end ones but I have tried other drugstore ones and this is the best one I have found soo far. It's a pretty big tube and since you don't need much it's going to last you for a very long time. It definitely covers my blemishes very well as well as brightening under my eyes.

I definitely recommend trying it out if your in the search of a good and cheap concealer.

Urban Decay Naked Basic Palette:

I love Urban Decay especially the Naked palettes but they are kind of pricey that is why I'm hesitant to buy them but they are beautiful palettes. When I found they came out with the Naked Basics Palette I had to buy it even though it has 6 colors they are basic colors you would use everyday.

The pigment of each color is beautiful and shows up really well with or without primer. I absolutely love this palette and its small enough to put in my makeup bag. I'm really glad I bought it for one it was cheaper and the colors are matte which I like. And I found out 4 of the colors have never been seen in any other Naked palette which is a plus.

I hope you enjoyed my review on these products and try out some if you haven't already. I will be having more product reviews coming soon so look out for that.

Keep smiling :)

May Ipsy Bag 2014 "Beauty's Fresh Picks"

This month's picks were interesting and I had fun trying them out. I will list all the products below with some description of each and my review for each.

Classic Sport SPF50 by Hang Ten
-Protect and nourish your skin with our clear, lightweight, naturally scented sunscreen. Provides maximum water resistance and full body coverage against harmful UVA/UVB rays.

-Now that the warm weather has hit us and I'll be spending most of my days outdoors I need something that will protect me but also that is natural.

Mineral Eyeshadow Duo in #2 Moonbeam & Unicorn by Pacifica
-The Pacifica Mineral Eyeshadow Duo are coconut infused mineral eye shadows that are a perfect addition to any makeup collection.

-I really love Pacifica I haven't tried any eye shadows these are the first and I'm really happy with the results. They are super pigmented as you can tell from the swatches I did. I also found if you add a white base they will show up even better. The ivory color called "Unicorn" is a gorgeous highlight color. To create a soft smokey eye use "Moonbeam" its a greyish violet color with some shimmer.

Thermal Spring water by Avene
-Avène Thermal Spring Water is the only thermal spring water bottled directly from the source and packaged in a sterile environment to guarantee purity and maximum skin benefits. It says it's suppose to soothe inflammation, itching, redness, general sensitivity and post-medical and aesthetic procedure irritation as it softens, protects and purifies the skin.

-I've never tried anything like this I think the whole concept is awesome Spring water in a bottle. It feels nice on the skin and refreshing. I researched the price and it cost $12 a bottle which I think is a bit expensive. I don't think I'd actually buy it I will probably try and make my own.

The Olive Lip Balm in Refreshing Rosemary by Olive Natural Beauty
-The Olive Lip Balm is packed with Olive Natural Beauty’s organic jojoba and extra virgin olive oil for light enduring moisture with no added synthetics or chemicals.

-This is the only product I didn't like from everything I got this month. I'm  not a fan of the scent of Rosemary. I know its good for your lips and its all natural but after using it for a day I couldn't handle the scent.

Hydra balance moisturizer by Pur-lisse
-Gently smooth over face day or night after cleansing and toning. Glides on like a gel and hydrates like a cream and never greasy. Hydates your skin to create a perfect canvas for makeup application. Dries down to a healthy glow.

-I really liked this product I used it a few times before applying my makeup and it gave me a clean and fresh face to work with. It wasn't too harsh on my skin which I was happy about. I don't think I'd buy the full size since I already use other products. I was happy to try it out maybe in the future I will purchase it.

June Ipsy Bag 2014 "Pretty in Paradise"

I was super excited for this month's picks I loved all the products I received and I'm glad I got them all. I will list all the products below with some description of each and my review for each.

Lash out mascara by Be A Bombshell
-A rich pigmented mascara with a lengthening formula that offers a multidimensional look.

-I really like this brand but its my first time trying their mascara and I really liked it. In the past we were sent mini samples so I was happy this one was full size. I don't think I would buy another one until I finish the ones I have.

Dream waves beach spray by Marc Anthony
-Create natural, effortless, beach hair worn loose, soft and wavy. It adds body and texture to straight, fine strands or pumps up the curl in already wavy hair. Powerful UV Protectors absorb ultraviolet light to save your mane from harmful sun exposure, dehydration and color-fade. You’re left with manageable, touchable waves. Even the straightest hair can achieve tousled beach hair any time of year.

-I really love this product my hair is naturally wavy so adding this spay helps achieve those beachy waves. Also the scent is just amazing smells like coconut which is heaven for me. I received another product like this from "Big Sexy Hair" and I absolutely loved it. I was happy they sent another similar product I may do a comparison post soon.

Butter Gloss in Apple Strudel by NYX
-Buttery soft and silky smooth, the scrumptious new NYX Butter Lip Gloss tastes as sweet as a sugar cookie—and makes your lips look downright luscious. Swipe it on alone or over your favorite lipstick for creamy sheer to medium coverage that melts onto your lips and is never sticky.

-This was the product I couldn't wait to get my hands on I didn't even care what color I got because they were all beautiful. It was another full size product which I was happy about and I will definitely be buying other colors.

Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner by Jesse's Girl
-This true black liquid liner creates a bold, precise, ultra-fine line that's both waterproof and smudge-proof. The unique, caligraphy-style brush allows you to create lines as thin as one millimeter!

-I've had other liquid eyeliners and wasn't impress this one just glides on which I love. It creates the thinnest lines to thicker if you wish. Another full size product.

NEW! BB Cushion by Laneige
-The revolutionary, “5-in-one under the sun” skin care in a compact. Powered by SPF 50 broad-spectrum UVA, UVB protection, the synergy of its exclusive Cushion Form technology and unique application hydrates, brightens, color corrects and soothes all skin types, all day. Fine lines are filled; coverage is complete, skin looks flawless, luminous.

-I haven't tried it yet but I've seen some people use it and it looks soo cool I will definitely be doing a review
