Sedona Lace Makeup Brushes

Hey Beauties,

I've been wanting to do this review for a long time now but never had the chance to sit down and write one so here it is finally enjoy! :)

Now let me just start off by saying I didn't actually buy them I won them on a contest they were having on Pinterest. Their brushes are pricey "yes" but to be honest they are worth every penny. Would have I bought them if I din't win the contest? To be honest yes I would because I heard soo many good reviews from all the beauty gurus I follow and I just had to try them for myself.

It's been about 1 year I think that I've been using these brushes and I'm in love with them from the minute I got them. The bristles are soo soft on my skin and they look soo pretty on my vanity. I don't consider myself a professional makeup artist but using these brushes makes me feel like one. lol

What the set comes with:

Powder Brush 376:
This sculpted brush head with natural bristles, allows for more precise placement. Great rounded top for "all over" application of loose powder.

Duo Fibre Brush 813
This brush is my favorite one it is known to add the finish of an "airbrush look" when using liquid foundation,.

Foundation Brush 727
The synthetic bristles on this brush are non-absorbing to help keep your foundation on your face and not on the brush! Works well with any Liquid/creme products. I haven't used this one I prefer the duo fibre one so I gave it to my cousin.

Large Angled Contour Brush 850
This angled shaped brush works best when used for applying blushes.Used to apply cheek contour, could also be used wet as a foundation brush.

Concealer Brush 954
This Rounded flat shaped, thin precision tip brush with synthetic bristles allows flawless application of cream or liquid concealers underneath the eye or in hard to reach areas, like the inner eye or lash-line. I actually use this with powder and apply it under my eyes to set the concealer.

Medium Angled Shading Brush 407
This angled shape, yet flat with natural bristles brush, is best used underneath the eyebrow and inner corners of the eyes. Also great use for blending shadows outwards.

Small Angled Brush 561
This stiff natural bristled brush is angled to help create the perfect eye brow when filling in.
This is an essential brush when applying gel or creme eyeliner. This is my go to brush when applying eyeliner to create that perfect winged liner.

Large Shader Brush 941
This flat shaped brush is ideal for applying eye shadow primer and creme formulas.

Tapered Blending Brush 863
This brush has a rounded and tapered top and a perfect size for applying and blending an all over shadow.

Pencil Brush 904
This brush is name of natural bristles and is perfect for smudging out eye liner. Great for applying color in the crease and outer corner of the eye. This brush can easily create a gorgeous 'smokey eye' look.

Eye Shading Brush 305
This brush has a soft rounded top to helps apply loose eye shadows and pigments. Ideal for packing on a lot of pigment and keeping an intense color.

Eyeliner Brush 772
This extra fine brush with natural bristles helps give a precise line when applying liner. I actually use this as a lip liner instead.

Overall thoughts:

I absolutely love everything about them. I use the duo fibre brush everyday and my skin always looks flawless. I sometimes do get some fall outs of hairs on my face but it doesn't happen often. I wash them every 2-3 weeks and they look brand new every time.

Updated! Favorite Foundations/BB Creams

Hey Beauties,

It's been almost 2 yrs since I updated my favorite foundation of the moment. I will link my first post that I did on my favorite foundation. In that post I mention some higher end ones and some drugstore ones.

http://ptiganos.blogspot.ca/2012/06/my-favorite-foundation.html

HD Invisible Cover Foundation in 115 Ivory

For the past year I've been using the "Makeup Forever HD Foundation" in 115 Ivory, I absolutely love this foundation I've gone through 2 bottles already. This foundation gives you a flawless finish and a little goes a long way. It feels light on my skin and it's perfect if your going to be taking pictures it won't give you that white cast on your face.

Another foundation I've been playing around with and mix in with my BB Cream is the "Yaby Foundation" in Buff. I received a sample size of 15.4g in my January 2014 Ipsy Bag. I absolutely love the way it applies its very smooth and the color blends perfect to my skin tone. The only disappointment that I saw was when I wanted to purchase the full size it actually was the same size as the sample I receive in my Ipsy bag. Not only is it small but for almost $16 its definitely not worth it. I saw a lot of complaints about this in the reviews so hopefully the company takes it into consideration and make some changes.

Overall my face is pretty clear I don't need much coverage, just on those occasions when its that time of month and I breakout here and there. (All you girls know what I mean lol) So instead of using foundation everyday and come on its kinda pricey I use BB Cream.

I've mentioned this BB Cream soo many times its been in a lot of my monthly favorites its just perfect. It gives me just enough coverage to make my skin look flawless.

I use the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream  in Medium and Medium/Light. I like mixing a bit of both on the back of my hand and dotting it all over my face. Sometimes I use my fingers to rub it in and other times I use my Sedona Lace "Duo Fibre Brush #813". (Review on the Sedona Lace Brushes Coming Soon)

I like using BB Creams because it gives you an even look without looking like you have tons of makeup on your face. With just a bit you get the perfect coverage for an everyday look. There's many BB creams out there but I found the Maybelline was perfect for my skin and they comes in many different shades.

Hope you all enjoyed this, till next time.

February Favorites

Hey Beauties,

For this month I didn't have many beauty favorites but I did have a lot of random ones so decided to just make this post anyways.

Hope you enjoy it and as always check out the following links for more beauty/fashion inspiration :)

Beauty Products:
  • Clinique 3-step Skin Care (Read my full Review here)
  • Perfume from Zara called "Fresia" it isn't sold in stores anymore but you can look it up online to see where you can purchase it. This 50 ml eau de toilette is a natural spray and smells AMAZING!!! Not sure what exactly it smells like but it has a mixture of spice and sweet but in a mature way. (if that makes sense) It's a cute bottle very chic and elegant and is a perfect size because I own a lot of perfumes and its hard too finish them when they are in big bottles.
  • OGX Moroccan Argan Oil (I love adding this to the ends of my hair because they are really dry and it gives my hair a silky finish without looking oily. Not only does my hair feel amazing but the product smells sooo good. You can find it at any drugstore and its less than 10$ which is great.)
  • OGX Moroccan Argan oil in Shampoo & Conditioner (Just like the oil these products smell and feel soo good on my hair.)
  • Hollister Silver Strand Beach Mist (This mist screams spring/summer, with scents of mandarin, mango and coconut you will feel like your lying on a beach in Paradise. It's still kind of cold where I live and snowy but spraying this makes me feel like spring is coming soon.

TV Shows:
  • Downtown Abbey (I know I'm a little late but I just started watching it and I'm already on the 3rd season and can I just say I'm in love with everything about this show.)
  • Bates Motel (This show is a bit creepy but keeps you on the edge of your seat)
  • Are you the one? (It's on MTV now and OMG it's soo addicting, if you like shows like Big Brother and The Real World you'll like this show. It's located in Hawaii and 10 guys and 10 girls are put in a house who by the end of the season could split 1 Million dollars. These 20 ppl have been matched with someone in the house and they have to figure out who it is. They have 10 shots of figuring it out and so far its on the 6th episode I can't say anymore.
Movies:
  • The Awkward Moment
  • Blue Jasmine

Books:
  • The Thing about the Truth by Lauren Barnholdt
  • Wild Cards by Simone Elkeles
  • My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick
