Hey Beauties,
Summer is here and finding the perfect foundation for the warm weather is kind of hard and pricey. For the past few months I’ve been using the Silk Crème Foundation from Laura Mercier in Rose Ivory. They are 10 different shades to choose from to match your skin tone.

Why I love it? Because it gives you a flawless, natural look without looking cakey or heavy. It’s a liquid foundation which I expected to be very heavy but it’s so lightweight that I feel my skin can still breathe. What I also like its waterproof for those hot days at the beach or by the pool. I wasn’t planning on purchasing this product since it was pricey, but I read a lot of good reviews on it and I really wanted to try it. I bought mine at Sephora for 55$ but for the price it’s an AMAZING product. I’ve had mine now for about 5 months now and you would expect it to be done but there’s so much more product inside the tube. You don’t need too much a little goes a long way, a few dots here and there and blend it with your fingers or a stipple brush and you’ll get a flawless finish.
One thing that I’ve noticed is beacuse I have a combination skin this foundation tends to slip off by the middle or end of the day and I feel my skin being oily. Even so I still love this product and I will keep on using it till I find a new one. I heard great reviews on the Makeup Forever HD Foundation which is for oily skin. hmm Something to look into.

Another foundation I've tried and again is pricey is the Pro Longwear SPF10 Foundation in NC20 from MAC. I found this foundation was very heavy on my skin and I didn't get a full coverage like I wanted. I still use it but mix it with some powder to get a flawless look.
If you’re looking for Foundations
that are in a lower price rage a few that I suggest are:
- L’Oreal True Match- very liquidly and has an airbrush finish if you use a stipple brush, lightweight, lots of colors to choose from.
L’Oreal True Match in Nude Beige |
- Maybelline Superstay 24-7 Foundation- airbrush finish, thicker then the True Match and blends very well.
- Revlon Colorstay Foundation- Covers everything from acne to dark circles, it feels heavy and you need to work quickly cause it tends to dry fast, lasts all day, I don’t suggest this for an everyday use maybe just at night or special occasions because it’s kind of heavy unless you like that. This product is also available for dry skin so there’s one for oily and one for dry skin.
- Neutrogena Healthy Skin Foundation- gives you a fresh face, dewy finish, doesn’t look like you’re wearing anything, lightweight, perfect for those summer days or those days you feel like not wearing makeup but still want to, glowing natural face.
